MØNARC® Arcs de Marche®: What the Integral Curve Changes

A push directed forwards

The MØNARC® Arcs de Marche® owe their name to their most visible characteristic: an integral curve, which follows the arm's natural path during the stride. A study by Université Grenoble Alpes measured what this geometry changes: the push angle goes from 46° with a straight pole to 33° with an arc, in other words the force exerted on the pole is directed more towards the front, in the direction of travel. It is the booster effect walkers describe: at every support, the push serves the movement, and the walk gains efficiency without the technique changing.

Reliable grip on all terrains

The curve produces a second benefit, less visible but just as concrete: the tip meets the ground more vertically, whatever the phase of the stride. Grip gains in consistency, on forest trails as on mountain paths and urban routes. The tungsten carbide tips, one of the hardest materials there is, complete this stability, and rubber pads can be added for stretches on asphalt.

Joint comfort and reduced fatigue

The T700 carbon shaft, a high-strength grade used in demanding industrial applications, filters the vibrations that usually travel up towards the wrists, elbows and shoulders. At 140 grams per pole, the Arcs de Marche® are among the lightest on the market. This combination, stiffness, lightness, reduced vibrations, protects the joints over time and makes walking less tiring, session after session. The cork grip ensures a natural, comfortable hold, even in hot weather.
