MØNARC® Arrives in Belgium with Philippe Buyens

The MØNARC® walking arcs are crossing a new border. Since the start of the 2026 season, Philippe Buyens has been representing the brand in Belgium, where Nordic walking has a dense community, active clubs and well-attended events all year round.

A coach specialising in supporting the over-fifties

Philippe Buyens runs Move with me, a sports coaching and walking business based in Chastre, between Louvain-la-Neuve and Gembloux, in the heart of Walloon Brabant. His work is aimed mainly at walkers aged fifty and over, an audience whose priorities are clear: joint comfort, regular practice and the pleasure of walking matter more than timed performance.

That is precisely the ground the Arcs de Marche® were designed for. Their fully curved shaft directs the push forwards rather than downwards, vibrations are dampened before they reach the wrist and shoulder, and the movement follows the natural swing of the arms instead of constraining it. A walker who wants to practise for a long time, often, and without waking up old aches, finds equipment suited to that plan.

A free trial for Belgian walkers and clubs

Philippe will be meeting Belgian Nordic walking clubs from September 2026. In parallel, individual walkers and associations alike can contact him directly to discover the arcs in the field, as part of a free trial. He will get back to every request as quickly as possible.

This trial approach matches the way we have worked from the very beginning. The curve of an arc is understood in the hand, over a few hundred metres, far better than on any spec sheet. A walker who has pushed once knows immediately whether the movement suits them.

Designed in France, reaching across Europe

MØNARC® arcs are designed in France and assembled in France, in an ESAT, a sheltered workshop employing people with disabilities. They now equip walkers in France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, and now Belgium.

Every region has its own terrain, habits and clubs. Walloon Brabant and its surroundings offer varied routes and a firmly rooted walking culture, which makes it a natural home for the walking arcs.
