MØNARC® Pack: Curved Nordic Walking Poles
MØNARC® Pack: Curved Nordic Walking Poles
The ready-to-walk pack brings together everything you need to set off on arrival: a pair of MØNARC® Arcs de Marche®, 100% carbon Nordic walking poles with an integral curve, delivered fully fitted and stowed in their made-to-measure bag. Each pole weighs 140 grams, in T700 carbon, a high-strength grade used in demanding industrial applications.
Why curved poles?
The integral curve follows the arm's natural path and directs the push forwards, in the direction of travel. A study by Université Grenoble Alpes measured a push angle of 33°, against 46° for a straight pole: at every support, the force serves the forward motion more. It is the booster effect walkers describe. The tip also meets the ground more vertically, for consistent grip, and the carbon filters the vibrations that travel up towards the wrists, elbows and shoulders. The Nordic walking movement stays the same, compatible with all teaching methods, and the arcs are accepted in competition on all circuits in Europe.

Which combination to choose?
The length is calculated with the formula height × 0.68, rounded to the nearest 5 cm. If you already practise, your usual length remains the right one.
| Length | For a height of | Straps available |
|---|---|---|
| 100 cm | up to 1.51 m | S |
| 110 cm | 1.59 to 1.65 m | S, M, L |
| 115 cm | 1.66 to 1.72 m | S, M, L |
| 120 cm | 1.73 to 1.80 m | S, M, L |
| 125 cm | 1.81 to 1.87 m | S, M, L |
| 130 cm | 1.88 m and above | L |
Between two lengths, the size guide details the elbow test; the 105 cm length is available on the pair of bare arcs. For the strap, choose the size of your gloves.
Frequently asked questions
Can the length be adjusted?
No, the arcs are fixed-length one-piece poles: the size is chosen at purchase. That is what guarantees the pole's stiffness, lightness and reliability, with no mechanism that could work loose.
Is there an adaptation period?
The movement taught in clubs applies as is, and the propulsion is perceptible from the very first kilometres. Beginners and experienced walkers alike find their bearings immediately.
What about descents?
The recommendations are those of any Nordic walking pole: detach the straps on technical passages and plant alternately to keep permanent ground contact. Our mountain guide details the technique.
What does the price include?
A 100% T700 carbon shaft at 140 grams, an integral curve measured by Université Grenoble Alpes, assembly carried out in France by an ESAT, parts that are all replaceable and a made-to-measure bag. The pack is built to last for years, not seasons.
